Poetry Night; Spoken Word is an evening of spoken word, written poetry, and reflective listening. This gathering creates space for voices shaped by history, faith, struggle, and hope—particularly within the Black experience.
Participants will share poetry that engages themes such as:
- Quietness and reflection
- Faith and perseverance
- Freedom, justice, and memory
- Personal and communal stories
This is a listening-centered space—welcoming poets, writers, and attendees who wish to reflect, support, and engage thoughtfully.
We are also looking for musical solos, like musicians, saxophone players, anyone who wants to do a creative piece.
