With a career spanning over 25 years, this GRAMMY and Latin GRAMMY-winning ensemble has been a leader in non-conformist music. Café Tacvba’s lyrics are in Spanish and their music is deeply rooted in Mexican culture, but the group also blends in elements of rock, indigenous folk, electronic and punk to create an ever-evolving musical language. Their classic Re album was named the “Number One Latin Rock Album of All Time” by Rolling Stone and was described by The New York Times as “the equivalent of The Beatles White Album for the rock en español movement." “Café Tacvba has earned its reputation as Mexico’s most visionary rock band,” says The New York Times . “They treat rock as a genre worth sustaining only if it could be exploded, repeatedly.” The Los Angeles Times says: “This is one of the most innovative, versatile and lyrically smart bands in contemporary rock. They invite reckless fun.”
