The Friends of the James Brown African American Room are having their 5th annual Kwanzaa Celebration! This year's theme will be the 5th day of Kwanzaa: Nia! (Purpose).
Thursday December 30 6 PM -8PM
Please join us for a dicussion centered on Nia ("To make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community in order to restore our people to their traditional greatness.") moderated by Dr. Anasa Ma'at.
Meet the Panel:
Maryam Bey: Author of Broken Spirit, Let It Go Spirit, Let It Go So You Can Grow, Host & CEO Tell a Vision TV Show.
Larry Hamm: Human and Civil Rights Activist, Humanitarian, Public Speaker, Chairman of People's Organization for Progress.
Free parking will be available at the Bears & Eagles Stadium Lot. The entrance is located on Bridge Street.
Important: In alignment with the City of Newark guests will be required to show ID and proof of vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test within the last 3 days to attend this event.
