This four-acre park was laid out in 1850 and is one of Newark's three colonial parks. In the early 20th century, the Lincoln Park area was a neighborhood of nightclubs known as "The Coast". It was a center of jazz and today is a center for the arts with the Lincoln Park Music Festival, City Without Walls gallery (cWOW), Newark Symphony Hall and the Newark School of the Arts.
