Jazz Vespers Committee

In honor of National Jazz Appreciation Month, we would like to highlight Bethany's Jazz Vespers Committee, led by Dorthaan Kirk, Newark's "First Lady of Jazz". The monthly Jazz Vespers worship services were first instituted by Rev. M. William Howard. Over the past several years, we have welcomed vocalist Samara Joy, harpist Brandee Younger, pianist Sullivan Fortner, and the Jazz House Kids ensemble, among several other notable artists.
