Newark Fitness

We get it! We get it!  Those health and fitness goals are beginning to haunt you.  Where do you go to begin your fitness journey?  And what do you do when you get there?  Or what gyms can you pop into if you already have a good regimen but need to try something different?  And what exactly is your core?

Thankfully, Newark has quite a few gym options to choose from that will fill your needs, satisfy your questions, and encourage you to stay on track to reach and maintain your fitness goals. The beauty of Newark’s fitness options is in the diversity of options.

Blink Fitness

Ironbound Fitness (155 Ferry Street) is a GREAT place to go if you’re ready to get into beast mode.  This is where Arnold Schwarzenegger and Lou Ferrigno would have worked out if they were in Newark.  Heavyweights.  Metal plates.  And grunting.  Lots of grunting.  But hey, if that’s your thing, this is definitely a place you should check out.

CKO Kickboxing (169 Halsey St.) is one of the new kids on the block, and they’ve been making a lot of noise lately – mostly from the members who are happily championing the workout experience they’re receiving on social media.  Working out as a unit with everyone in the room creates a sense of encouragement and friendly competition that is just what some of us need.

But wait… there’s more!  Have you heard of Fitness Fast Team USA  (221 Frelinghuysen Ave.) yet?  There’s something amazing happening over there.  Fitness Fast Team USA takes a wholesale approach to health and wellness.  With classes like “New Mindset Through Fitness”, “Butts and Guts”, and “Wake Up and Grind” members are truly tapping into valuable guidance on their wellness journeys.

And that’s just the tip of the iceberg! Newark still boasts a plethora of fitness options. Here are a few more options for you.
