Working with farms from New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania and Long Island, every item on the fixed menu is organic and locally resourced and dairy products are hormone free and cage free. In addition to the menu, daily specials offer in-season produce and the farms' weekly harvest.
Coffees are roasted in upstate New York in the Catskills by Java Love. Tea blends are from Mountain Rose Herbs and Matcha Green Tea and 100% Organic Chai from Yogic Chai in Montclair.
All of the food waste is composted by P3 Organic Exchange, a Newark company that builds and maintains community gardens in the area.
Pronounced co-tay-de-anio, the name derives from the Spanish phrase "la vida cotidiana." This is applied as both taking time to look into nature's source daily, as well as offering a moment in the routine to meditate and eat well. Located in the center of Downtown Newark, Cotidiano offers fresh coffee and produce to the surrounding businesses and creatives: a new hub for the hussle.
