2026 Experience Newark Grant Program
An initiative of the Newark Alliance, it supports Newark-based nonprofits, community groups, small businesses, and residents hosting events that strengthen community pride, celebrate Newark’s culture, and attract residents and visitors.

Winter & Holidays Cycle — Experience Newark Event Sponsorship Program
Eligible Event Dates: November 28 – December 31
Application Deadline: November 6
Award Notifications: November 18
The Winter & Holidays Cycle provides micro-grants of $1,000–$5,000 to winter-themed, seasonal, or holiday-related events in Newark, held between November 28 and December 31, 2026.
Eligibility and Event Criteria
- Eligible Applicants: Newark-based nonprofit organizations, community groups, resident individuals, or Newark-based for-profit small businesses
- Eligible events: Winter-themed, seasonal, or holiday/cultural observances; open to the public; free or low-cost
- Eligible activities: Festivals, markets, cultural/arts events, block parties, and other community gatherings that benefit Newark residents and businesses
