The Firestation is a community based and supported gallery dedicated to exhibiting a variety of artists, from emerging to established, with a special focus on local artists. It is a place for people to come together to talk, see films, performances and lectures – a place to learn from both professionals and peers, to be creative & to get inspired and a place where opportunities for new ideas and new ventures can be developed and supported. The station also aims to serve the younger generation through functioning as an educational space for young adults and children, offering classes in arts and technology. The gallery has exhibited artists such as Willie Cole, Vic Muniz and Gary Di Benedetto.
