HALSEY FESTIVAL

Every September, the annual Halsey Festival welcomes thousands of new and returning visitors to the historic Halsey Street district in Downtown Newark. The celebrated festival stretches several city blocks and includes activations, giveaways, a fashion show presentation, a vibrant market of local artisans, and a lively festival mainstage.

Festival goers include a diverse mix of residents, students, community partners, stakeholders, the community at large as well as visitors. Halsey Festival attendees will have a unique opportunity to experience the Halsey Street neighborhood firsthand with a delicious array of food options, exciting programming, and special performances from local DJs and arts organizations.

New this year, Attendees will be able to join Halsey Festival Afterdark in Harriet Tubman Square, Presented by Audible. Halsey Festival Afterdark will include new exciting glow-in-the-dark activations, an outdoor dance floor, and live painting with the Newark Artists Collaboration. 

With an emphasis on supporting our local small businesses and connecting the community's various stakeholders, this year's Halsey Festival is not to be missed. This event will positively impact local small businesses directly providing them with much-needed economic relief.
