1. A Circus Truly with SOUL.
Every UniverSoul Circus event showcases diverse acts from around the world. The performers hail from South Africa, Trinidad and Tobago, Chile, Cuba, Russia, Mongolia, and many other countries.
2. The show takes you into the action.
Every show is fresh because the talent within the audience is encouraged to participate and interact with the performers. For instance, the music, excitement, and ringmasters keep you out of your seat, and kids and adults of the audience show are often chosen to participate in a dance contest.
3. The circus comes to the neighborhood and gives back to the community.
When the circus comes to town they often visit elementary schools in the area and perform for the students. This year USC performed multiple free shows for the public at the 10th Anniversary of the Halsey Festival.
4. The World’s Only African-American-Owned Circus Turns 28... and Counting.
One of America's most popular shows under the big top, Ringling Bros. and Barnum & Bailey, in May of 2017 performed for the last time after 140 years. UniverSOUL Circus was “the nation's first all-black circus in nearly a century” when it opened in Atlanta in 1994 and is the only Black-owned circus today. (Elizabeth C. Hartman, 2021)
